My Own Digital Product Paid Me! (How I Did It)

Creating Digital Products

The digital marketing space can be a challenging space.

The abundance of information can be overwhelming.

It’s hard to find your path toward success.

However, I have found something that works for me.

And I think it can work for you too.

This is something that everyone and anyone can do.

It is creating a digital product.

A digital product is a product that is consumed digitally.

Digital products can include:

  • Videos
  • Journals, checklists,
  • Ebooks
  • Pictures and images
  • AND MORE.

One of the great things about digital products, in my opinion, is that anyone can create one.

If you have a particular area of expertise or interest, you can help people through creating a digital product.

I will share more information about my digital products and recent experience below.

MY DIGITAL PRODUCTS AND RECENT EXPERIENCE.

I’m sharing with you what happened when I created and sold a digital product.

You are welcome to watch the video below or keep reading below.

So, here is a small breakdown of how I created my digital products.

The main tools I have used are a Word Processing system like word and Canva.

Canva is a very simple tool that allows for anyone to create a digital product.

Other than Canva, I create simple word documents filled with my expertise and interests.

Before you say it… (I don’t have any expertise to share.)

You don’t have to be an expert; you just have to be better by than the person you are trying to help.

I would suggest creating a digital product from:

  • sharing your expertise in an area like woodworking, math, singing, etc.
  • sharing how you have overcome or succeeded in a difficult or particular situation, like being in debt, a divorce, homeschooling, first time parenting, etc.
  • Sharing your passion for something like gaming, fishing, quilting, etc.

The MOST important thing is to make sure you are solving a problem to get the best results.

I posted my products mainly on Gumroad.

But there are plenty of places to share digital products.

HERE is a list of my digital products.

Also, I would suggest using outlets social media and YouTube as well to promote your products.

I was able to make a commission from Gumroad.

But that is pretty much the gist of it.

Here are a few more tips I will share with you.

  • Create more than one product.
  • Be patient, you won’t get rich overnight, despite what gurus say.
  • Make sure to create products of value that help people.
  • Do your part to promote your own products instead of just depending on the platform you post your products on.
  • Keep your digital products simple, don’t overwhelm the people you are trying to help.

Conclusion

Digital products are a means for anyone to be successful.

You just have to make sure to help people solve their problems and give value within your products.

Digital products, in the beginning, won’t make you rich.

But you can learn this skill to create some momentum.

I’m not an expert by any means, but I am learning and growing as well.

This is another way to create income that can lead to more.

I hope this blog post can help you get started on your digital product journey.

Thank you for reading and God bless.
